SEND Station and Empowering Tech have collaborated to transform Literacy Junction® into a digital product, launching in 2025. This exciting project is the start of a partnership that over the last year has created new tools and video materials for schools that accessible through an online portal. Materials have been successfully piloted in Primary and Secondary schools in Birmingham and Blackpool. Our partner in this initiative, Empowering Tech, is a leading provider of assistive technology in schools globally and is committed to driving change in literacy advocacy and assistive technology.
Empowering Tech partners with education providers to enhance accessibility and inclusion through innovative tools like Scanning Pens. The award-winning C-Pen range supports learners with reading difficulties, including those with Dyslexia, by promoting independence and confidence in the classroom and beyond. As part of the wider Developing Literacy Project initiative in Birmingham, Empowering Tech’s tools have been instrumental in supporting SEND learners, helping to reduce reading anxiety and improve literacy outcomes across mainstream schools. Empowering Tech Teams are proud to work with education professionals supporting individuals with learning differences whose successes highlight the impact of assistive technology and demonstrate how it empowers children to overcome literacy barriers.
