About this session

Do you know an Autistic young person with high anxiety levels?

Is your young person driven by a need to be in control at all times?

Is their behaviour extreme and frequently challenging to deal with?

Is everyday different and you feel that there just aren’t any strategies that consistently work?

Pathological Demand Avoidance is a specific behaviour profile within Autism. The profile is significantly different to those who are simply diagnosed as being on the Autism Spectrum. Parents and professionals need to understand these differences to better support young people with PDA.

This session explores practical and effective ways to support children with a PDA profile within Autism.

As a result of this training, you will be empowered to become more responsive and effective in your support.

This is a complimentary session to our first session on PDA awareness. It is recommended that you have attended the first session before signing up for this training.
