Bryn Bach Primary School – Literacy Junction Primary 2021-2025

Bryn Back Primary was one of the many schools that piloted the first roll out of Literacy Junction in South Wales. Literacy Junction has been nothing short of transformational at the school. As one of the first schools to adopt the programme the results have been profound. Pupils made an average of 16.5 months’ progress in reading age within just 10 weeks. The impact extended well beyond academics—self-esteem soared, confidence blossomed, and pupils began looking forward to coming to school. So compelling was the success that the headteacher appointed a full-time staff member dedicated solely to delivering Literacy Junction. This is more than a reading intervention; it’s a catalyst for lasting change.
