About this session
Being a SENCo (SENCo, SENDCo, ALNCo) is a demanding, time consuming and busy role. This session seeks to equip SENCos with practical, honest, achievable, strategies designed to make the role more manageable.
It helps participants understand the challenges and frustrations they face in school, providing useful ‘nuggets’ of advice to help build relationships, save time and spend energy on where it’s needed most – the children needing support.
The session explores the main ‘drains’ on the SENCo role – the large amount of administration and the challenge of juggling meetings and technology. It also provides ideas for effectively supporting staff you work with and the children in your care.
