About this session

This session is designed for teachers and support staff who work with young people with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD). It provides practical strategies to enhance learning and development.

During the session we will explore the three primary areas of need for young people with SLD:

Cognition and Learning
Communication and Interaction
Sensory

In the session you will learn how to implement structured approaches and visual supports to improve engagement and learning outcomes for pupils with SLD.

By the end of the session, you will be equipped with practical strategies to support young people with SLD effectively.
